Why We Use VEXO SOLARGUARD® PRO

WattWash installs VEXO SOLARGUARD PRO, a bird-proofing system designed specifically for rooftop solar arrays.
The system uses durable 304 stainless-steel mesh with a protective PVC coating. It is secured around the perimeter of the solar panels using dedicated fastening rods and locking discs that attach beneath the panel frame.
The finished barrier prevents birds from accessing the cavity beneath the panels while maintaining ventilation and preserving the appearance of the solar array.

How WattWash Installs It

1. Inspect
We assess the solar array, panel layout, roof access and any existing signs of bird activity.
2. Clear and Prepare
Accessible leaves, loose debris and nesting material are removed from beneath the panel cavity where required.
3. Install
The VEXO mesh is fitted around the perimeter and secured using purpose-designed fastening components.
4. Finish and Check
Corners, joins and obstacles are carefully sealed before the installation receives a final visual inspection.
The manufacturer’s guide requires regular fastening intervals, properly finished corners and sufficient overlap at the final join to create a continuous perimeter barrier.
Installation is subject to safe roof access and compatibility with the existing solar array.
